I met Lluisa working for a global fashion brand In Amsterdam. I was a creative producer and Lluisa a creative manager, first meeting on the set of a photo shoot. Which would become the first of many. Creative versus organiser, on top of that Spanish versus English. Perhaps the definition of opposites. So, the flirting was slow and measured (mainly because of the English organiser). After some months of flirting by the photocopier (on Valentine’s day no less), miscommunications, missed opportunities and busy schedules we kissed at Lluisa’s birthday drinks.

This is when I first heard about Weeam
Soon after I heard about Weeam, a brand Lluisa was super passionate about, but due to a hectic work life, something that had been paused. But the excitement and vision were very clear to me and there was no doubt in my mind that this was something we would want to pursue.
Skip forward a few years into the relationship and Lluisa and I have carved out time to push forward with the project. Having both worked in fashion we know how we would like to run the business, create the clothes and build a community. We want to create a stylish, sustainable and relevant brand for 2024. That is part of a new fashion philosophy without the negativity and bad practices that we are used to.

Lluisa is a life long creative. Studying graphic design and fashion, she quickly found herself leading and driving Mango man. Creating an industry-leading brand and e-commerce experience. From there Lluisa moved to London to continue in the industry and learn and produce more global fashion campaigns. Before being headhunted to move to Amsterdam and work for two of the biggest global fashion brands, leading the studio creative team.

John has spent the last 13+ years working in photography & video production between London and Amsterdam. His carrer includes advertising agencies and more recently global fashion houses (digital and physical).
During this time John has led global campaigns for various products and companies. Most recently John became head of operations for a global digital fashion house before taking some time out to make the leap and start something new.
